Charbay Whiskey R5

Charbay Distillery & Winery is an independent family business owned and managed by Miles and Susan Karakasevic. They work side by side with their son Marko & his wife, Jenni, to carry on the inherited artisan traditions.

This whiskey, presenting expressive notes of malt, slightly sweet hops, pine, tropical fruits and hints of herbs, is distilled from Racer 5 beer, a hoppy American IPA made by Bear Republic Brewery Company in Northern California. This gold medal winning beer is double distilled for nine days in copper pot stills and then aged in French oak for 22 months before being bottled at 91 proof, to give it a hoppy richness and intensity, blended with sherry like notes.
